Notice Description

Provision of GP services to the Emergency Department at Addenbrooke's Hospital. Specifics of the service areas follows: -- GP in ED 1100-2300 7 days per week -- Second GP for triage/streaming 1100-2300 weekends and bank holidays and 1900-2300 Mondays. -- GP must be fully aware of local pathways, community services, alternatives to admission and able tonavigate and access these without support. -- GP must be on local performer list. -- GP will accept undifferentiated patients of all ages streamed by ED nursing team whose condition is eitherprimary care or does not warrant ED attendance. -- GP will see and independently manage the patient -- should patient need to be seen by a speciality they willbe referred as would be the case when working in GP surgery. -- GP will not order diagnostics (other than obs and ECG, urinanalysis) or imaging within ED as this movesaway from premis of working as a primary care clinician. -- Provider will ensure appropriate governance, revalidation, mandatory training, supervision, CRB and OHclearance to the required standards is in place. -- All patients will be clerked on ED IT system, with discharge summary completed.
