Summary of the contracting process

Ferrovial BAM Rail Systems is currently in the tender stage for a procurement titled "Procurement for Designated Roles (PSC) RAM, SS, Interoperability, Security and other services". This procurement falls under the industry category of Railway Engineering Services. It is located in the UK, with the tender process inviting participation until 4th August 2025. The project anticipates a contract start date around 7th September 2025, with a completion by 30th September 2027. The procurement is valued between £500,000 and £1,000,000 and seeks designated professional roles to join the Contractor's Design Management team for various responsibilities, including RAM management, system safety engineering, and cyber security management.

This procurement offers extensive opportunities for businesses with expertise in railway engineering services, particularly those involved in design management, systems safety, and cybersecurity. Companies with robust capabilities in leading design delivery and assurance processes, and working with large infrastructure projects, would be well-positioned to compete. Though SMEs and VCSEs are not the primary focus, larger firms or those with existing experience working on rail systems contracts would benefit from participation, leading to significant business growth and strategic partnerships within the UK and international markets.
