University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Solent NHS Trust ("The collaborating Trusts") are joining resources to provide a combined Employee Assistance programme as part of their broader staff health and well-being strategies. An Employee Assistance Programme will provide care and support for all employees of the collaborating Trusts by helping to achieve the following: - Promotion of positive mental health and supporting employees in achieving a work-life balance. - Illustrate a duty of care for all employees. - Minimise the risk of litigation for the collaborating Trusts. - Provide a confidential and free service for employees (& dependants)who may feel unable to turn elsewhere. - Improve the productivity and efficiency through improving the employee's wellbeing, ultimately reducing staff absenteeism and turnover rates. - Demonstrate and evidence how the programme is tackling the issues of harassment and bullying in the workplace. - Supporting staff and / or teams in challenging periods.
