Summary of the contracting process

The Public Health Department of Wandsworth Council is currently engaged in the planning stage for a tender entitled "0 – 5 YEARS HEALTH VISITING SERVICE: SOFT MARKET TESTING EXERCISE." This procurement process aims to explore market interest in delivering health visiting services for children aged 0 to 5 years across the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond upon Thames. The engagement end date for this exercise is set for 23 February 2018, and interested providers had prior submission deadlines for questions and completed questionnaires in August and September 2016. The procurement method is identified as a soft market testing exercise, which is a preliminary step to assess provider interest and service specifications without formal commitment to a contract.

This soft market testing exercise presents an excellent opportunity for businesses involved in health services, particularly those focused on early childhood care and health improvement. Providers, including both established firms and new entrants in the health sector, are encouraged to participate in this voluntary engagement to showcase their capabilities and influence future service designs. Engaging in this process can enhance visibility and open doors for contract opportunities within the public health domain, offering a chance to contribute positively to community health outcomes for young children.
