Notice Information
Notice Title
NHS Southwark CCG Community Dermatology
Notice Description
NHS Southwark CCG would like to notify you of a market engagement event to discuss a potential service model and specification for a community dermatology service. An initial draft of the specification is attached to this notice. The service will play a key role in supporting the CCG in its strategy to optimise the value of referrals and improve patient experience and outcomes. The Service will manage a broad range of dermatological conditions and support the development of sustainable care pathways, which are cost-effective, responsive to local need, clearly articulated between clinical partners and underpinned by a combination of effective referral optimisation and robust educational support. The service will also play a pivotal role in strengthening the dermatology offering in Southwark, by providing a link between primary and secondary care, building capacity and expertise within the community and diverting less complex activity away from the acute trusts, thereby improving access to secondary care for those patients requiring consultant-led treatment. The CCG will be holding a market engagement event on 29 June 2017 from 3-5pm at 160, Tooley Street, London Bridge. This is a free event hosted by NHS Southwark CCG and open to all potential service providers. The purpose of this event is to have an opportunity to meet with potential providers and stakeholders together in an informal and dynamic atmosphere to discuss and explore how such a service could best benefit Southwark patients, and to understand what different providers may have to offer in terms of service development, ideas and innovation. We hope that this event will provide potential providers with an insight into the service NHS Southwark CCG want to commission and give them an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification where necessary. It will also be an ideal opportunity for providers to express their thoughts on what an ideal service should provide and ideas on how these recommendations can be implemented and delivered. It is anticipated that the new service will commence in April 2018 Additional information: You can express an interest in this market engagement event by sending an e-mail to the Clinical Procurement Team at: nelcsu.clinical-procurement@nhs.net The deadline for submitting a response for this event is on the 27th June 2017 If you would like to receive an invitation to this event please include the following information in your email: * Confirmation of how many people will attend representing your organisation (include name/job title) * Your organisation's technical capability and previous experience of delivering a community dermatology service or similar services. Please note that this is a market engagement event to inform the CCGs' decision making process. This does not commit the CCG to a carry out a procurement process. Potential providers who have expressed an interest in this event will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should the CCG decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement. Potential providers who do not express an interest at this stage will still be able to apply in the future.
