Notice Title

Supply & Installation of Music System for Worcester Crematorium, Astwood Cemetery

Notice Description

Worcester Bereavement Service ,Worcester Crematorium, Astwood Cemetery, Worcester WR3 8HA carries out on average 2000 cremations per year. The crematorium was opened in 1960 and is a single chapel facility seating approximately 100 and standing room of 40 in the chapel with speakers & a screen available for outside, if the service cannot be totally accommodated within the chapel itself. The current music system works from an adapted PC desktop system loaded with the operating software and music libraries together with remote triggering devices. Funeral directors are able to request music not stored on the system by contacting the current music provider prior to their requirements by phone or online. The requested track is then delivered electronically to our system. There are no plans to replace the current amplifier or speaker system and any equipment must therefore be compatible with the existing equipment. The Council is looking to add a Webcast system at a later date so the new music system will need to be able to integrate and work with a future Webcast system. Potential Suppliers are required to carry out an on site visit and create their own plan of the chapel by prior appointment before submitting tenders.
