The National Audit Office is looking to obtain an independent expert view from an organisation with civil engineering expertise to assist us in evaluating the appropriateness of Highways England's condition-based depreciation methodology for structures and road assets. This is to support our 2020-21 audit work and there is a hard deadline for a final report by late May 2021, with earlier delivery preferred. While we are contracting for a single 3-month period, it is possible that this requirement will recur for future audits.
