Notice Description

This is a contract to supply and install a number of CCTV display screens and associated control systems in the Kent Highway Management Centre, Aylesford within the Growth, Environment, Transport and Directorate. There is a requirement to replace the existing display wall with a more flexible interface and convert the communications to open industry standards. The existing CCTV cameras are used to monitor and manage traffic flows on the highway network. By providing real-time information on incidents or special events, CCTV images can influence drivers' route selection, reduce travel time, mitigate the severity and duration of incidents and improve the overall performance of the transportation network.
