Notice Description

The Northern Clinical Waste Consortium ("NCWC") which is made up of a number of NHS Trusts "Member Organisations" is seeking to Contract for the provision of services to collect, transfer, treat and dispose of the various healthcare and hazardous healthcare waste streams. The winning Supplier ('Contractor'(s)) must provide the service in accordance with the Department of Health document HTM 07-01: Safe Management of Healthcare Waste, encompassing any new legislation, regulation, best practice, and the requirements set out in the Technical Specification. The Contractor will be solely responsible for Healthcare Waste from the time it is collected. This must include the safe and secure disposal of any residues, until final disposal. The Contractor must execute all duties properly and have permanent and Contractual stand-by arrangements to support the normal disposal routes. This contract will be for three years with the option to extend for one year, plus one year, commencing on the 01/09/2021. Additional information: The tender documents can be accessed at https://www.lifecycle.co.uk/tenders.html Potential bidders must send an email from the above web address to be registered on the tender portal. This will issue a verification email to allow the submission of your bid. Clarification questions should be issued as soon as possible, but in any event before 30/03/2021. The Trust cannot guarantee that it will be able to respond to a clarification question if it is received after this date.
