Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Brent is seeking suppliers for a Homecare Framework aimed at providing services for children and adults. This tender, published on 27th November 2019, is classified under health and social work services, with a total budget of £150 million. The procurement is currently in the award stage, with the contract period set to commence from 1st October 2020 until 30th September 2024. Those interested in the framework are required to submit their tender applications electronically by the 13th of January 2020 for individual lots covering various specialisms.

This public procurement opportunity is well-suited for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) that provide homecare services. Companies specialising in care for older people, children, individuals with learning disabilities, or mental health support could effectively gain from this framework. Successful bidders will gain access to provide multiple care packages through call-off contracts, representing a significant opportunity for growth in a sector that is increasingly focused on specialised, localised services.
