Summary of the contracting process

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is conducting a procurement process for Development Consultancy Services, which includes three frameworks: Architectural Services, Employers Agent/QS Services, and Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy Services. The total value of the contract is £11,000,000 and the procurement is classified under Construction Consultancy Services. The procurement method is selective and follows a restricted procedure due to its value. While this tender is currently in the Award stage, it runs from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2027, with project locations across various regions in the United Kingdom, including East Midlands and London.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in architectural and construction consultancy services. Companies that can provide seamless, integrated consultancy solutions would be particularly advantageous in responding to this tender. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this procurement appealing due to its supportive framework for their participation, allowing them to collaborate and potentially subcontract with larger firms to enhance their competitive edge in delivering complex projects over the eight-year duration of the frameworks.

Development Consultants Procurement

Notice Description

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust has procured three Frameworks for the provision of Development Consultancy Services. These cover Architectural Services, Employers Agent/QS Services and Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy Services. The EA/QS services requirement includes Clerk of Works, Principal Designer and Party Wall Surveyor elements, which can either be provided from in-house expertise of through sub-consultant arrangements but must be delivered as a single seamless service. Additional information: ExtraCare Village projects are significant developments with an extended design, planning & construction period. ExtraCare wishes to benefit from the expertise and learning gained in working on these projects, so as to be able to select the same professional advisors to work on a follow-on scheme or schemes, once the learning is completed. These Frameworks will therefore run for a period of eight years.
