Quotation for Electrical Training for non-electrical Employees
Notice Description
Quotation for Electrical Training for non-electrical Employees Neighbourhoods Services area requires the following courses to be delivered to employees within the Repairs section: Accessory Replacement workshop This workshop needs to be designed to give individuals the skills and understanding required to safely isolate an electrical system, safely removing and replace accessories on a like-for-like basis, and commission the maintenance work undertaken. Attendees will need to learn how to safely isolate an electrical installation, or part of it, to allow them to remove and replace accessories safely. The course needs to cover key work areas including domestic, commercial, and plumbing and non-electrical equipment with an electrical connection. Course programme (over 3 days) * Introduction to the legal requirements for the replacement of an accessory replacement * Safe isolation of circuits and installations * Circuit and conductor and termination types * Protective measures * Termination of cables and accessories * Commissioning, Inspection & Testing requirements Safe Isolation workshop This workshop needs to be aimed at contractors looking to gain knowledge and practical understanding of how to safely and correctly isolate electrical systems to complete electrical maintenance and repairs of electrical systems, or for other safety purposes. The course needs to cover The Electricity at Work Regulations Voltage testing equipment types and compliance Safe isolation considerations Afternoon Safe Systems of Work Practical safe isolation techniques explained and demonstrated Assessment: * Short multiple-choice knowledge assessment * Practical safe isolation assessment Electrical Testing and Fault Finding for Gas Engineers This course needs to cater for individuals who need to demonstrate competence to work on the testing, fault finding and commissioning of electrical gas installations/ systems. The course needs to meet the minimum technical competency requirement for service engineers/ installers looking to enhance their knowledge of electrical systems and fault finding on gas appliances The electrical/ fault finding training and assessment needs to be designed to provide the necessary skills in design, installation, testing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding of gas appliance electrical systems. The estimated budget available for the delivery of this training is PS30,000 and the contract period will be for 2 years, commencing 1st July 2018 to 30th June 2020. However, this information is intended to assist with the preparation of your bid. The Council does not bind itself to this or any other figure and is not a guarantee of business which may be generated from this contract.
