Notice Description

The Flood and Water Management Act 2010 requires the Environment Agency to develop a national strategy for England. This describes what needs to be done by all risk management authorities involved in flood and coastal erosion risk management (FCERM) to reduce the risk of flooding and coastal erosion, and to manage its consequences. The risk management authorities, as set out in the Act, are local authorities, internal drainage boards, water and sewerage companies, highway authorities and the Environment Agency. The Environment Agency have set up project to review the national strategy. The National Strategy Project Objective is to deliver a reviewed and revised national FCERM strategy--drafted, approved and laid before parliament in 2019, setting out a long-term vision for FCERM. The Environment Agency seeks to identify a high quality supply partner to participate in this procurement exercise for the opportunity to deliver a contract to provide futures consultancy services for the Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Directorate within the organisation. The contract will be let for a period of 6 months.
