Notice Title

GB-London: Understanding and learning from responses to the Covid-19 lockdown

Notice Description

The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly changed the ways in which councils provide support to vulnerable children and families, and the ways in which they work with schools. All schools, including academies and free schools, have been encouraged to work with councils to continue to support children and young people, particularly those considered to be vulnerable and the children of key workers. Meanwhile, family support and child safeguarding processes have had to be adapted to retain oversight of children and keep them safe even while face to face visits have been limited and support services have changed or halted altogether. We would like this project to develop a narrative of how this has worked in practice and go on to make recommendations as to how the experiences of councils and schools in responding to the crisis can help education and children's social care systems work more effectively in the future. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
