Notice Title

Barnet Community Wound Care Early Engagement

Notice Description

Barnet CCG is keen to test the potential provider market for a Wound Care Service. Barnet CCG is looking at how best we can deliver Wound Care for Barnet patients who are referred by Barnet GP's into the healthcare service. NHS Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group has recently redesigned its community wound care pathway. A new model of care offering support to people requiring moderate/complex and specialist Tissue Viability input in a community setting has been developed. The CCG would like to get potential providers' views, assess the market appetite, and discuss the CCG's plans in order to understand capacity and providers' ability to deliver the proposed service model. The new delivery model is expected to undertake a full range of wound care treatments and utilize technology as a key tool in supporting both GPs and patients; with the aim of promoting and providing a high quality, effective, accessible, timely, responsive, non-discriminatory cost effective community based wound care service that will address the health needs of the population at flexible sites, through a flexible model of delivery that significantly contributes both to improving the well-being of the population and to reducing inequalities. The Commissioner will value views of potential providers at this stage on the innovative model of care for people requiring more than simple wound care support. Views will also help inform the approach to commissioning the service, ensuring patients are seen by the right person, in the right place at the right time and can move readily between levels of care as necessary. The CCG will be holding a market information event on 27th July 2017 from (1pm) at Stephens House & Gardens, (Stephens), 17 East End Road, Finchley, London N3 3QE. Refreshments will be provided. This is a free event hosted by Barnet CCG and open to all potential service providers. The purpose of this event is to have an opportunity to meet with potential providers and stakeholders together in an informal and dynamic atmosphere to discuss and explore how such a service could best benefit Barnet patients, and to understand what different providers may have to offer in terms of service development, ideas and innovation. We hope that this event will provide potential providers with an insight into the service Barnet want to commission and give them an opportunity to ask questions an seek clarification where necessary. It will also be an ideal opportunity for providers to express their thoughts on what an ideal service should provide and ideas on how these recommendations can be implemented and delivered. Additional information: You can express an interest in this market testing exercise by sending an e-mail to the Clinical Procurement Team at: nelcsu.clinical-procurement@nhs.net The deadline for submitting a response for this market testing exercise is on the 24th July 2017 at 17:00 If you would like to receive an invitation to this event please include the following information in your email: * Confirmation of how many people will attend representing your organisation (include name/job title) * Your organisation's technical capability and previous experience of delivering a Referral Management Service or similar services. Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the CCGs' decision making process. This does not commit the CCG to a carry out a procurement process. Potential Providers who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have to submit a separate response to the Contract Notice should the CCG decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement. Potential providers who do not express an interest at this stage will still be able to apply in the future
