Summary of the contracting process

The Financial Ombudsman Service is seeking to award a contract for the procurement and implementation of a data quality tool. This tender is currently in the active stage and will end on 10 January 2020. The contract, valued at £750,000, will cover a period of three years with an option for two one-year extensions. The primary location for service delivery is London, United Kingdom. This procurement falls under the "Software package and information systems" category, and the method used is an open procedure above the threshold.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses that specialise in data quality solutions, software development, and IT support services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly those with expertise in data governance, data validation, and analytics, would be well-suited to compete. The ongoing maintenance requirements throughout the contract duration, including annual licensing and technical support, further enhance the prospects for firms looking to establish long-term partnerships within the public sector.
