Notice Title
Contract award England's Economic Heartland's Connectivity Studies
Notice Description
England's Economic Heartland (EEH) is the Sub National Transport Body (STB) for the region stretching from Northamptonshire to Hertfordshire and Swindon to Cambridgeshire. It includes the entirety of the Oxford-Cambridge Arc. EEH is taking forward the implementation of the region's Transport Strategy through a programme of connectivity studies. The connectivity studies will build on the policies in our Transport Strategy in order to help achieve the Transport Strategy vision: "To realise sustainable growth opportunities and improve the quality of life and wellbeing for Heartland residents and businesses, by harnessing the region's globally renowned centres of innovation to unlock a world class, de-carbonised transport system." The connectivity studies will not be 'traditional' transport studies. Working with partners we will use the studies to agree desired outcomes for the study area and identify the solutions required to deliver the connectivity required to enable those outcomes to be realised. The studies will be multi-modal and therefore it is anticipated that the measures identified are likely to be a package(s) of interventions (including digital). The output from the studies will be taken forward as part of the region's Investment Pipeline associated with the Transport Strategy. This commission is for two connectivity studies which focuses on the geographical areas 'Oxford - Milton Keynes' and 'Peterborough - Northampton - Oxford'.
