Notice Description

Cumbria County Council is seeking to appoint a multi-disciplinary consultancy team to for technical support to define the scope of interventions to inform a Full Business Case for the Connected Millom & Haverigg Project. Connected Millom and Haverigg seeks to improve the transport network and related public realm, in and around Millom, and to support the vision for Millom to be revitalised and better-connected, built on sustainable economic growth with a high quality and distinctive visitor offer. The project recognises Millom and Haverigg's multiple roles as a place to live and work, as a key service centre for a wider rural catchment, and as a visitor destination, and seeks to enhance the physical linkages between these economic roles. The investment seeks to strengthen Millom Railway Station as a hub and a key gateway to the town, improve walking and cycling infrastructure around Millom and Haverigg and deliver public realm interventions to enhance and upgrade town centre streets. The purpose of the Services are to develop the Connected Millom & Haverigg Project requirements to support the development of a Full Business Case.
