Summary of the contracting process

Durham County Council is inviting tenders for the establishment of a Panel of Providers for Residential Rehabilitation for Substance Misuse, targeting health and social work services valued at £588,000. The procurement process, classified under the Open procedure, has been active since the tender was published on 20 April 2017, with the initial tender period closing on 24 May 2017. The contract is set to commence on 12 June 2017 and will last until 11 June 2021. This opportunity encompasses delivery addresses across the UK and beyond, including British Overseas Territories and Europe.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sector, particularly those specialising in rehabilitation services for substance misuse. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged to apply, as there are no limits on the number of providers that may join the panel, provided they meet the tender's essential criteria. Businesses such as rehabilitation centres, counselling services, and other health service providers would be well-suited to leverage this opportunity for growth and collaboration with Durham County Council.
