Notice Description

NHS Vale Royal CCG and NHS South Cheshire CCG are looking for a single provider for a Community based Pain Management Service. The service will assess all cases of Chronic Pain (pain lasting longer than 3 months) for whom GPs require further management advice with the intention of providing a clear management plan and appropriate support for both the patient and the GP. It is expected that the service will support patients to manage their chronic pain in the community whenever possible. A key component of the service will be the ability to assess and treat patients within a multidisciplinary model having local access to a range of disciplines and high quality interventions that can deal with the physical, psychological, social and behavioural needs of patients with chronic pain. Initially the focus will be MSK conditions (including neurological) with a view to expanding the service beyond. A draft specification is attached. Contract length 2 years with option to extend by up to a further 12 months. The contracting authorities are not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations. As the CCG is a relevant body for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these Regulations also apply to this procurement.
