Occupational Health System
Notice Description
Durham University requirements are to purchase and implement an Occupational Health system. The Occupational Health service at Durham University currently offer OH services to staff and students, these services fall into one of the following broad areas: - Recruitment - ensuring candidates are fit for role before a job offer is made and also carrying out baseline health surveillance for roles in scope - Health Surveillance - carrying out baseline and continual health surveillance for staff and students in defined roles or who are exposed to certain pre-determined risks e.g. noise, vibration etc, and record immunisation and vaccination. - Management referrals - for staff and students who require occupational health services during or following a period of absence, or who are at work and have divulged a health condition to their line manage, or fitness to participate in offsite activities - Fitness to study placement - assessment of applicant suitability before acceptance onto specific courses, currently Initial Teacher Training and Social Work related study, fitness to study processes are to be aligned with management referrals and hence the requirements stated in the management referrals section cover the functionality needed The requirement is to develop a system that will: - Offer the potential to integrate with existing HR system - Provide effective clinic management and appointment managment - Offers a secure platform for the recording and storage of client case files - Reduces the burden and risks associated with manual processes - Enables more efficient processing of Health Surveillance recalls - Through efficient processing of cases via the system, improves compliance with HSE legislation and audit Additional information: http://events.transaxions.com/service.aspx?event=6794
