The LGA, Natspec (the membership association for organisations which offer specialist further education and training for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities) and the Association of Colleges (AoC) wish to commission research to better understand how effective existing arrangements are in providing support to post-16 young people (16 to 25 year olds) with SEND in England, and what this means for funding and commissioning these services. We also wish to identify good practice in terms of use of existing budgets, as well as what more could be done to make best use of existing resources. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
