LICENSING OFFICER Rate of Pay: Band D (PS11.02 per hour to worker) Hours: 15-18.5 hours per week Location: Oldbury Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury Contract type: Temporary for 3 months Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Job Summary: We are looking to appoint a temporary Licensing Officer with excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for received and processing of licence applications primarily under the Licensing 2003, and the Gambling Act 2005 with input on Scrap licensing applications also. This will include processing licence applications in accordance with council procedures, maintaining computer records and advising customers in relation to licensing matters. Experience of report writing and presenting for Court, Committee or Boards would be desirable. Good customer service skills, target focussed and ability to manage conflicting demands are essential. This will include processing licence applications in accordance with council procedures, maintaining computer records and advising customers in relation to licensing matters. Hours: Our working hours are 9.00 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday and 9.00 to 5.00 on a Friday Please see the JD & Spec for more information on the duties of this role.
