Summary of the contracting process

Wandsworth Borough Council has announced a market engagement event as part of the planning stage for procuring extra care services in two schemes, Chestnut House (Roehampton) and Ensham House (Tooting). This event, focused on the Health and Social Work services category (CPV code 85000000), is set to take place virtually via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, 8th October 2024, from 14:30 - 15:30. Interested providers are required to register their participation by 12:00 (noon) on 4th October 2024 via the Atamis e-sourcing portal. The engagement process, detailed in an early notice published on 19th September 2024, reflects the council's commitment to involving experienced providers in shaping the future service delivery model and procurement strategy.

This procurement opportunity offers significant scope for business growth, particularly for SMEs and VCSEs specialising in health and social care services. Providers participating in the market engagement event will have the chance to contribute to the development of Wandsworth Council's commissioning strategy and engage in strategic partnership discussions. This dialogue is invaluable for businesses looking to align with local governmental strategies, meet community needs, and provide high-quality services. Given the targeted nature of extra care services, both well-established providers and emerging entities with innovative approaches will find this engagement beneficial for gaining insights and influencing future procurements.
