Notice Information
Notice Title
Unit 4 Implementation Partner
Notice Description
Dudley Council employs 5000 people and serves a population of circa 300k residents. The council operates a significant budget and is responsible for providing and commissioning a significant range of services. The Council has entered a new contract with Unit 4 for its Unit 4 ERP 7 SaaS solution to deploy the Core Accounting Package and is currently migrating the existing system to the Unit4 Cloud Service. We expect to complete this "lift and shift" activity in January 2025 and retain the system in the test environment. We plan to transform the system in the test environment and make it live after year end May/June 2025. Objectives of the transformation * Modern solutions that will transform the way our people work and is scalable * A streamlined implementation of new ways of working based on [local government] best practice eg cash receipting/income management processes * Workflows and tasks that will automate processes, resulting in increased efficiency and accuracy * Dynamic, real-time reporting for added management insights, better use of available "out of the box" reporting, and effective provision of reporting for 3rd parties e.g. government returns * Accurate forecasting and real-time decision making Dudley Council is seeking a Unit 4 partner to assist in transforming the existing Unit 4 finance system into a modern finance system and in making it live. The selected partner will advise on the strategic options and help develop options appraisal and associated plan of transformation activity. The current ways of working have remained largely untouched for many years and full understanding of "as is" is required to ensure organisational readiness and commitment to an "adopt not adapt" approach, with minimal customisation, for easing transition to upgrades and uptake of new features in the future.
