A further competition was undertaken via the Research & Insights Framework (RM6126). Prize draws and competitions have been able to grow significantly and advertise widely in the digital age. Some of these draws and competitions, unlike lotteries, are not regulated. We are commissioning research to explore the potential for regulating the largest competitions of this type to introduce appropriate controls around transparency, player protection and, where applicable, returns to good causes.
