The outcome of this Tender will be to identify a single Contractor to enter a contract with Witney Town Council to design, consult and renovate the existing Splashpad by 23rd May 2025 with an approx budget of PS172,000.00 Prime objectives include: * Renovate existing control panels, pumps, solenoids * Replace 7000L underground grey water tank * Repair and renovate surface * Ensure Splashpad remains an inclusive area that all can enjoy. * Landscape the edges of the Splashpad * Improve water efficiency and reduce water usage * Addition of new overground features * Creating a space that is safe and fully compliant with industry standards * Build a park within budget that represents excellent value for money * Improve physical health and mental well-being * Encourage families to spend more time together and foster a sense of community * To ensure health and safety is paramount in all circumstances Design Brief: * Repair minor collapse of surface * Resurface Splashpad with safe, compliant and hard-wearing surface in vibrant colours. The surface must be easy to maintain * Landscape the edge of the Splashpad with safe, hard-wearing and attractive material to improve user safety and reduce debris entering the Splashpad and risk clogging drains/pumps * Replace drains with modern, easy maintenance units that prevent debris from clogging pumps. * Add overground play items to improve playability. They must be resistant to vandalism. * Consideration needs to be given to the main user group aged 2-9 accompanied by adults. * Systems/nozzles to improve water consumption, improve play value * Design to incorporate systems to futureproof the Splashpad that allows the council to enhance in the future Technical Brief Specifications: * Splashpad controls must have remote access . Supplier must demonstrate that controls are reliable, good warranty (inc SLA's), easy to maintain/update, cost effective and includes adequate service/support should anything fail. * Installation of a filter system to the underground chamber that allows the council to use this drain water for irrigation * Switch on Button needs to be hardwearing, maintenance free and resistant to vandalism. Design should include a visual or audible cue for users to see/hear that tells them the system is recharged and ready to use. * Re-route existing drainage pipes to Thames Water manhole 200yrds away. * Simple, cost-effective maintenance/repair, availability of parts, anti-vandalism are important factors when evaluating the materials and play items. * When complete the council would expect the Splashpad to have a life expectancy of at least 15 years. * After sales service and technical support are also important factors within this tender and details relating to this aspect must be included within this tender.
