The Client (UKAEA) seeks to create a better understanding of the manufacturability and joinability of zirconium (Zr) alloys as a structural material for a fusion environment. The successful Consultant will be selected by the Client to write a review of the manufacturing landscape and Zr alloy joinability for current commercial Zr alloys. Furthermore, there will be some novel work involved in thermodynamic calculations and physical dissimilar butt-joins.
