Light Plant and Tools, Servicing, Maintenance & HP
Notice Description
This project relates to the annual maintenance of Light Plant and Tools that are owned by the Environment Agency (EA) and the Hire and Purchase (HP) of Light Plant and Tools by the Field Operational teams. The EA owns a vast number of light plant and tools. These items need to be serviced in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. As a minimum this must be annually but if there is heavy usage this may be required more frequently. Principally the list of EA maintained items, and maintained equipment is defined as; "individual field member teams can "comfortably lift the plant or tool". The use of the agreement is mandatory, due to Health & Safety implications, and compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) It is also important to ensure that the Field Operation teams have an accurate inventory of Light Plant and Tools at their disposal which enables the teams to understand the quantity, age, value and dispersal of the EA light plant & tool holding at any time. We are seeking to appoint a single national supplier for an initial 2 year contract, with the option to extend for a further 2 years (1+1) making a 4 year contract in total. This is a must have national BAU maintenance and servicing contract to ensure that the equipment owned by the Environment Agency is serviced and maintained regularly to maintain H&S compliance and adherence to the PUWER regulations. The contract opportunity includes the HP of small tool & plant and the maintenance of small tool and plant owned by the Environment Agency, and the monitoring and updating of the agency's inventory database of light plant and tools. The Proposed charging mechanisms for this contract will be Fixed price based on Service Cost, Parts Cost and Labour for repair of equipment. And HP schedule of rates. This contract will replace the current contract which is due to expire on the 30/06/2021. The new contract will commence from the 01/07/2021.
