Summary of the contracting process

The Environment Agency is initiating a tender process for the contract titled "Light Plant and Tools, Servicing, Maintenance & HP". This contract falls under the industry category of electrical machinery and maintenance services, with a focus on the regular servicing and maintenance of light plant and tools essential for compliance with health and safety regulations. The procurement is currently at the planning stage, and stakeholders interested in engaging should respond before the engagement deadline on 31st December 2020. The contract is expected to span four years, with an initial term of two years and an option to extend for an additional two years.

This procurement opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialising in maintenance services, particularly those with capabilities in servicing electrical machinery and equipment. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) would find this opportunity well-suited to their offerings, especially those experienced in managing equipment inventories and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Companies with fixed pricing models for service costs, parts, and labour would be particularly competitive in this tender, which aims to secure a single national supplier for an ongoing maintenance and servicing need.
