Earth Observation Data Integration Pilot, - Technical Co-ordination and Management
Notice Description
This project is to deliver the technical co-ordination and management needed ensure the suite of EODIP procurements are individually and collectively deliver a high quality pilot that drives forward the Road Map objectives. The overarching objectives of this technical coordination role are: 1. To plan and manage the overall EODIP programme, including making sure that the programme: o is innovative; o makes appropriate use of EO data; o integrates data effectively with relevant non-EO data; o uses appropriate analytic and data fusion techniques; o benefits from use of new ICT technologies to reduce processing costs; and o complies with the JNCC evidence quality assurance process. 2. To identify common requirements across multiple applications and to design the programme so that it delivers both individual applications and the common requirements to get efficiencies. 3. To establish relationships with the devolved administrations, other partners and initiatives in industry that can help deliver the overall aims of the EODIP, and where appropriate agree joint investment and alignment of objectives. 4. To ensure effective risk management and that project leaders manage the delivery of their applications to ensure successful delivery of outputs. 5. To undertake an appraisal of the outcome, impact and cost benefit of the EODIP. 6. To report progress to the EOCOE 7. To represent the overall programme to internal and external stakeholders 8. To ensure that EODIP activities contribute to the overall communications plan of the EOCOE. Additional information: Please note that Defra procurement uses e-tendering, provided by Bravosolutions.
