Notice Description

Job Title: Payroll Officer x 2 Rate of Pay: PS10.83 per hour PAYE (maybe able to negotiate depending on candidate experience) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Working from home Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency. End date for 12 weeks with a view to extend further. Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are looking for two Payroll Officers for an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team, providing payroll services to Sandwell MBC and a range of other external clients. The team's objective is to pay staff on the various monthly/weekly payrolls accurately and on time, in line with contractual and statutory obligations to predefined timetables. The successful candidate will work flexibly within the team to help deliver a timely and effective service. You must have a passion for customer service and experience working in a busy payroll department. You should also have experience of handling enquiries from a range of audiences, as well as organising and maintaining accurate records using ICT systems including Microsoft Office and Oracle products. Having good administration skills, being well organised and the ability to work independently with good attention to detail, are all essential requirements for this role. You will have a recognised payroll qualification, with the 'National Payroll Certificates 1, 2 and 3' being the minimum level required. This role is 37 hours per week and will require working from home. The rate of pay for this role is PS10.83 per hour (PAYE). Candidates must be immediately available.
