Notice Description

The Council is proposing to appoint a specialist service provider to assist our Planning Policy Team in the undertaking of a highly effective programme of digital consultation and engagement as part of the production of a design code for the village of Stoke St. Michael for a period of 6 months. There is a clear requirement from Government for all local planning authorities to prepare a design code or equivalent guidance for their area. The process of producing a code is outlined within the National Model Design Code (2021). This highlights the significance of inclusive and effective engagement with local communities and other stakeholders in the production of a local design code. In response the Design Code Project Team has produced a Consultation Strategy for the design code programme and a Consultation Plan to produce a design code for the village of Stoke St. Michael within the Mendip district. Please take careful note of documentation requirements for your submission.
