This contract is for the decommissioning, removal and disposal of an ABT Biomarker Generator (BG-75) cyclotron acquired for the production of positron emitting isotopes for radiochemistry/pre-clinical Positron Emission Tomography (PET). The space currently occupied by the cyclotron is required for a new Quality Control Laboratory. Summary of services: * Onsite deconstruction/disassembly; * Followed by the transfer of radioactive waste materials to the appropriate waste repository. The University is looking to appoint a contractor in June 2019, with a view to starting on site in July 2019 and completing the project in October or November 2019.
