Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "203_25 Technology Enabled Care Products and Services" framework was spearheaded by ESPO, a public sector buying organisation based in Leicester, England. This framework encompasses a variety of lots, including telecare and telehealth products and services. It was executed using an open procedure, targeting services within the telecommunications and healthcare sectors. The total framework value is estimated at £16 million, with the contract period spanning from 1st June 2025 to 31st May 2027, with the possibility of a 24-month extension. The framework is available to a wide range of UK public bodies such as local authorities and NHS bodies, and aims to provide solutions across all UK regions. The process reached its award stage on 16th October 2025, marking the framework's official establishment.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in technology-enabled care and telecommunications. It is particularly advantageous for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and organisations within the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sectors. Companies with expertise in delivering care products and telecommunication services can benefit from this framework by gaining access to an extensive range of potential clients within the public sector. The framework structure, along with the possibility of participating in a competitive eAuction process for call-off contracts, can facilitate enhanced market penetration and business expansion, fostering partnerships with public bodies across the UK.
