Summary of the contracting process

The Department of Health and NHS Business Services Authority is currently in the planning stage for the procurement of a Future Operating Model for NHS Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Supporting Technology and Infrastructure Services. This initiative, identified as a tender, aims to transition from a Service Integration and Management (SIAM) model to a Prime Contractor Model. Interested parties are invited to submit expressions of interest by 17:00 on 28th October 2016, with a series of market engagement events scheduled at Skipton House, London. Notice Title

Department of Health & NHS Business Services Authority - Future Operating Model for NHS Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain and Supporting Technology and Infrastructure Services

Notice Description

This Notice refers to PIN OJEU Ref 2015/S 213-389103 published by the Department of Health ("DH") and NHS Business Services Authority ("NHSBSA") in the Official Journal of the European Union on 30th October 2015, and the subsequent Contracts Finder Market Engagement Notice published on 6th April 2016, inviting the market to attend the first (of four) Market Engagement Events on Thursday 21st April 2016, where the proposed Future Operating Model (FOM) Service Integration and Management (SIAM) and Service Tower Model was presented to the market by the FOM Supporting Technology & Infrastructure Work Stream Leads. Following the recent internal review and approval of the FOM - Programme Business Case ("PBC"), where a number of options were considered, the Programme is now proposing to change the Future Operating Model for Supporting Technology and Infrastructure from a SIAM/Tower Service Model approach to a Prime Contractor Model. The Prime Contractor will provide the service integration and management capability together with Hosting, Networks, Applications, Desktop and Training Services. In addition, the Prime Contractor will also deliver the Transformation Programme as previously outlined by The Supporting Technologies Team. Additional information: Following receipt of expressions of interest, the Contracting Authority will hold two further Market Engagement Events over a period of two months, the first of which will take place on: Monday 31st October 2016 Skipton House, 180 London Road, London SE1 6LH Registration: 09:30 Event Start : 10:00 Event Finish: 12:30 Please note that all organisations who register an expression of interest for this event will (if they have not already done so) be required to sign and submit a Non-Disclosure Agreement (Appendix A) via the email address supplied above by 17:00 on 28th October 2016. Please note that only organisations that have registered will be allowed entry to the Event. Organisations not attending the Market Engagement Event, but who still wish to participate in future events are advised to register their interest via the email address provided above. Please note that each Market Engagement Event will be followed by 1:1 Supplier Sessions with the Supporting Technologies & Infrastructure Team.
