WP3471 (g) Walsall For All - Enhance Welcome Pack and buddying scheme
Notice Description
The Council wishes to commission a provider to enhance our current welcome packs for newly arrived communities. The successful provider will build on the current New to Walsall programme with the aim of widening the scheme to better support new communities. This will include consulting with new arrival communities on how to refresh welcome packs to meet their needs (including linking to Places of Welcome and groups signed up to the Walsall for All Pledge) to create more opportunities for social mixing and integration. The refreshed Welcome Packs will include information about the rights and responsibilities for the residents of Walsall borough, other useful local information and signposting to useful organisations/groups. The provider will include promotion of values such as equality and diversity, explaining the 9 protected equality characteristics, gender equality rights and tackling negative attitudes towards women that undermine their safety and voice.
