Summary of the contracting process

The Bristol City Council is initiating a public procurement process titled "CSI/ASC/Changing Futures," aimed at enhancing local services for adults facing multiple disadvantages, primarily in the health and social work services sector. This procurement falls under the planning stage, with a crucial engagement end date set for 2nd October 2021. The Council is estimating a total funding between £1.9 million to £2.3 million over three years, with a potential two-year extension. Interested parties must submit their expression of interest via ProContract by 2nd August 2021 at 12:00pm, as the process is intended to facilitate partnerships and collaborative opportunities against the backdrop of the South West region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care, particularly those with experience in supporting disadvantaged individuals, including young people from minority ethnic communities, women facing domestic abuse, and people recovering from trauma or homelessness. Companies, especially small-medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSE), may find this an ideal opportunity to collaborate with the Council as they seek an innovative lead delivery partner or partnership. This initiative not only aims to address pressing societal issues but is also geared towards influencing government policy and creating sustainable service models, hence offering growth avenues for firms willing to engage in systemic change.
