Notice Title

GB-London: Semiconductor supply and capacity

Notice Description

To strengthen UK resilience to disruptions, HMG requires analysis to understand current capacity across different semiconductor chips, how critical different sized semiconductors are to different industries, the barriers to creating additional capacity and a projection of capacity out to 2031. The work should provide the following four key outputs: Analysis of current capacity in current node sizes, with details on which manufacturers are producing what and where Analysis of the barriers or incentives which are preventing additional capacity Analysis on which chips or industries are likely to experience significant disruption A projection of capacity out to 2031, which takes into account state-driven funding and policies in the sector. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. The deadline for response is no later than 10:00hrs (GMT) on 8 Nov 2021. The budget for this project is in the range of PS20,000 - PS50,000. This is exclusive of VAT but inclusive of all fees and expenses.
