Offsite cold storage

Notice Description

The contract will be for the provision of off-site cold temperature storage service as a fail-safe mechanism for the long term storage of high-value materials. If there was a failure of power or liquid nitrogen storage/delivery at South Mimms, back-up samples stored off-site would guarantee business continuity. As certain samples fall under the Human Tissue Act, the storage facility must be HTA licensed. To ensure effective business continuity for the agency the storage facility is required to be within a 2 hour drive of the agency site at South Mimms.
