Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Midlands & Lancashire CSU is initiating a procurement process for the "Adult Hearing Service for Age Related Hearing Loss (non-complex) - Market Engagement." This initiative falls under the health services category and is specifically aimed at delivering community-based adult hearing assessment services in the West Midlands region. The planning stage is currently underway, with an engagement end date set for 23rd February 2018. Interested service providers are encouraged to register on the Midlands and Lancashire CSU Bravo eProcurement portal and complete a questionnaire regarding the service pricing structure by the deadline of 12th February 2016.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in audiology services, particularly those catering to the needs of the older population experiencing age-related hearing loss. Companies that can provide comprehensive services including hearing assessments, fitting of hearing aids, follow-up care, and rehabilitation services may find a competitive advantage in this process. As the NHS aims to develop a viable pricing tariff through market engagement, providers that can demonstrate capability in delivering community-based services in hard-to-reach areas will be well-suited to compete.
