Westmorland Furness is a new Council and is beginning to understand its collective property assets. The Council has a strategic intention to provide an improved and efficient estate. The Council has 3 waste and fleet depots in Barrow in Furness. The depots are not operating efficiently and may not meet current property standards. The Council is seeking to rationalise the depots, most likely into a single site. The Council requires, through this tendered Contract, to work with an organisation who can help guide the Council through the assessment, appraisal and design stages of a depot rationalisation project for these 3 sites/ service areas. Part of this work includes the outline design of a shared-services depot which is the end product.
