Provision of Fuel Card & Associated Services
Notice Description
DVLA has awarded a contract for the supply of fuel cards and associated services. DVLA owns and maintains a fleet of vehicles and uses lease/hire vehicles. These vehicles are used for transporting staff to official meetings at various locations around the UK, running from home to office or office to office and for monitoring compliance with vehicle excise duty at the roadside by means of Automated Number Plate Reader (ANPR) vehicles. Most journeys are catered for by motor cars and vans. However, depending on the number of people travelling, or the nature of equipment/documents being transported, mini-buses or people carriers are also used. Usage of official vehicles is restricted to business use only. The services covered by the procurement include the provision of fuel cards for the purchase of fuel and associated services across the UK (regional and nationwide). This ensures the DVLA has a cash free way for drivers on agency business to purchase fuel and associated services without the need to go through the expenses system.
