South Tyneside Council are seeking tenders for the artistic direction, choreography and delivery of the South Tyneside Festival Parade. The 2016 parade will carry a Nautical theme linking with the 150 th anniversary of South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade. South Tyneside has a rich maritime heritage which includes the Romans, the invention of the lifeboat, shipbuilding and currently the successful operations of the Port Of Tyne. The theme however should not be limited by this and should explore and articulate the nautical concept in its widest sense
