Hydrogen Supply Programme
Notice Description
This PS20m programme will identify and test innovative approaches to supplying low-carbon hydrogen, and help grow the market. Low carbon hydrogen could play an important role in decarbonising industry, power, heat and transport. However, for a market to grow, potential users (in any application) need to be confident in the supply of sufficient amounts of low carbon hydrogen at a competitive price. The PS20 million Hydrogen Supply programme aims to accelerate the development of low carbon bulk hydrogen supply solutions in the above sectors. It is aimed at projects at a technology readiness level (TRL) of 4 to 7, which could result in lower capital or operating costs when compared to Steam Methane Reformer with Carbon Capture & Storage (SMR+CCS), or improve the capture rates at a comparable cost. The programme is now live. If you are interested in applying, please see the guidance document, application form and finance form below. The deadline for potential applicants to register their interest is 21 November 2018, and the deadline to submit proposals is 5 December. The competition is divided into four lots of phases, values as follows Lot 1 - PS2m total, up to PS500k per project Lot 2 - PS2m total, up to PS500k per project Lot 3 - PS500k total, up to PS250k per project Lot 4 - PS500k total, up to PS250k per project Additional information: How to Apply If you wish to take part in this procurement please see the attached Tender documents attached to this Notice and send your completed Proposal to industry.innovation@beis.gov.uk as stipulated in the "Who to Contact" section. Any late submissions will not be considered. BEIS reserves the right to halt the procurement process and to not award any contracts. BEIS will not be held liable for recovery of costs from unsuccessful bids if a contract is not awarded. All costs will be borne by the bidding organisations. If a contract is created it will be upon BEIS' Terms and Conditions, which are available in the ITT document with this notice. Completed tender submission must be returned by email to industry.innovation@beis.gov.uk by 5 December 2018. After reviewing and evaluating the written proposals, BEIS may decide to hold bid clarification meetings with suppliers. Please note third sector organisations, as well as public sector and academic institutions, are welcome to bid if part of a consortium with a private company. However, they cannot bid by themselves.
