1 x Adults Social Care Officer
Notice Description
Job Title: Social Care Officer Rate of Pay: PS14.17 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Hybrid Working Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are looking for 1 x temporary agency Social Care Officer, for 3 months, 37 hours a week- (potential to be extended) to cover while we recruit to full time vacancies and are at full capacity. We require an agency Social Care Officer who is experienced with working with customers in the community, has good social/social work skills, and attributes to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in Sandwell. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and knowledge and awareness of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS. You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, Learning Disability, physical disability, complex needs, older people and their carer's. You will need to be confident carrying out outcome-focused assessments, with support planning, to meet their care and support needs. You must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers. You will be given an induction, appropriate training opportunities and regular supervision with an experienced manager. You will be working in a friendly environment, skilled, diverse and supportive team. An enhanced Adults DBS is required for this post. Candidates must possess GCSE English and Maths qualifications, or equivalent qualifications. Inside IR35.
