Summary of the contracting process

The NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit is currently in the planning stage of an early engagement process titled "Community Mental Health Services Engagement event" aimed at improving Adult and Older Adult Community Mental Health Services in the South West region of the United Kingdom. The engagement event spans two virtual meetings; the first on 7th December 2020 and the second on 11th January 2021, with registration deadlines prior to each event. The engagement process is aligned with the national Community Mental Health Framework, which is critical for reviewing and transforming mental health services, and interested parties are invited to contribute by 11th January 2021.

This opportunity presents a valuable avenue for growth, particularly for businesses involved in health and social work services, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations. By participating in this engagement, businesses can collaborate with the NHS to help shape community mental health services, thereby establishing connections within the healthcare sector while contributing to the enhancement of vital local services.

Notice Title

Community Mental Health Services Engagement event for NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group

Notice Description

This notice is placed as an Early Engagement Notice. The Commissioner NHS Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (BNSSG CCG) seeks to engage potential partners to improve our Adult and Older Adult Community Mental Health Services. Improving the lives of people affected by mental illness is a local priority. The introduction of the national Community Mental Health Framework offers us an important opportunity to review and transform our mental health services. Our ambition is to provide joined-up and personalised community mental health care - bringing together primary care, community services, mental health, social care and VCSEs. It is our intent to develop our approach with partners across our system - and crucially, with people who have lived experience. The event will build on our system level strategies that we have been developing together over recent years and form part the discovery phase of this programme. The first Virtual Event will take place on the 7th December 2020 between 13:00 and 16:00, registration to attend must be made by 5pm on 3rd December 2020 through the following Eventbrite link (below). Future engagement events will be advertised in due course. The second virtual event will take place on the 11th January between 13:00 and 16:00 registration to attend must be made by 5pm on 7th January 2021 through the following Eventbrite link below. Please note the events have a limited capacity and therefore please engage with your organisation on representation to help allow us to have a fair and mixed representation from across the system. NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW), on behalf BNSSG CCG, are managing the market engagement process and interested organisations use the contact details provided below for any queries. Additional information: This notice is an information gathering exercise rather than a call for competition in its own right, and therefore publication or response does not commit the Commissioner or respondents to a future procurement, nor provide any process exemptions or preferential treatment to any parties expressing an interest. Commissioners are looking to establish what interest there might be in providing such a service from suitably qualified, capable and competent organisations. The Commissioner will not be liable for costs incurred by any interested party in participating in this exercise. Interested parties should note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an automatic invitation to any subsequent formal procurement, which the commissioners will consider in due course.
