Archaeological Surveys ITT
Notice Description
The Crown Estate are seeking proposals from competent archaeological experts with experience of working in the offshore environment, and in particular in delivering archaeological works and services in support of the offshore wind sector. We require a quotation for services to act as our retained archaeologist to provide The Crown Estate with relevant advice and services in relation to a programme of pre consents surveys being undertaken in the Celtic Sea to support the development of Floating Wind, the first of which being geophysical surveys. To conduct this project, the commissioned team must possess the relevant skills, experience and knowledge about all facets of marine archaeological work provided in the context of offshore wind development. It will be necessary that the project team can demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience for all technical requirements related to the scope of works, and also the administrative abilities required to run the project and ensure appropriate reporting to the client and heritage agencies. The resulting data will be made available to developers to support all development activities including, but not limited to, the following: * Seabed terrain assessment and hazard identification; * Development of preliminary integrated ground models; * Prospective developers understanding of the general ground conditions across the site; * Concept foundation selection and development; * High-level geotechnical and geological risk assessment and strategy; and * Baseline data for preparation of relevant EIA chapters.
