Notice Title

Request for Quotation for the Provision of Ecological Surveys

Notice Description

Oxford City Council is seeking to appoint an Ecologist to undertake an Ecological Survey of land that has been identified for the provision of a bridge and improved path works to improve walking and cycling connectivity between Osney Mead and Oxpens. An Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey is sought of land that will be impacted by the proposed works for the bridge, path and flood mitigation. The Survey should be undertaken in two parts, the area impacted by bridge works and secondly the area impacted by pathworks as it is likely these works will be subject to separate planning applications. The Survey is to be carried out to industry standard and be robust to inform further necessary work and support planning application submissions. The outcome of the Habitat Survey is to be presented in two Preliminary Ecolocigal Appraisal (PEA) reports, relating separately to the bridge and path works, and include details of the work undertaken, the scope of further recommended surveys and information to inform design work going forward. A plan shall be provided identifying the location of the findings.
