Notice Description

- Managing and coordinating the project work-streams at operational level. Supporting the Senior Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of key milestones to the required quality and to the timescales agreed within the project plan - Managing a single, agreed approach to project delivery as defined in the Project Initiation Document, ensuring best practice is identified, recorded and utilised across the Project - Identify, monitor and manage project risks and issues. Develop mitigating strategies and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies. - Maintain and deliver against other project controls (including planning, assumptions, decisions, change control and configuration management) - Ensure the required Project reporting is completed through the various Defra governance structures in an agreed timely manner. - Ensure effective support of the technology work-stream through an active relationship with the Senior Project Manager responsible for IT, in order to ensure progress against plan milestones is achieved. - Ensure that the key assurance bodies are appropriately involved, and that the agreed deliverables from the Integrated Assurance and Approvals plan are met through the life cycle of the Project. - Ensure all necessary Business Change activities are defined, agreed and implemented in accordance with the Project plan - Support the relationship with internal and external project stakeholders. Identify and manage collaborative relationship through support of the Business Change work stream. Actively engage senior level support when required. - Build, maintain and improve relationships across the project, stakeholders and wider government - Communicate project vision and status effectively, using established meetings such as the steering group and project boards. Ensure visibility of project status to the wider business and stakeholders. - Ensure that effective business as usual and on-going service management is in place post go-live of the project Additional information: Please note that Defra procurement uses an E-tendering system for Procurement activities.
