Summary of the contracting process

Kent County Council (KCC), on behalf of the South East Sector Led Improvement Partnership (SESLIP), is inviting suppliers to apply for a dynamic purchasing system (DPS) to provide consultancy services related to research and development, and equal opportunities. The procurement process follows an open procedure and began on 11th September 2024, running until 10th September 2026. The aim is to support the development of local authority Children's Services across the South East. The DPS is available to qualified freelance consultants, with suppliers required to pass a Selection Questionnaire (SQ) to join. The contracting process will involve activities related to identifying key strands of enquiry, using evidence-based decision making, and building leadership capacity within the services. The procurement covers a broad geographic area including the United Kingdom and several overseas regions. Key deadlines include the tender period ending on 11th September 2024.

This DPS offers substantial opportunities for businesses operating in consultancy, research, and development services, particularly those with experience in Children's Services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as the procurement aims to bolster regional collaboration and service improvement. The flexibility provided by the ad hoc nature of the consultancy work and the broad geographic inclusion can benefit firms seeking regional projects. Given the focus on peer review and operational data analysis, firms with strong analytical capabilities and leadership development experience will find this opportunity well-suited to their expertise. Registration and additional details can be accessed via the Kent Business Portal.
